I think it is better to have it customize report by report.

We have experienced that sometimes soffice stays blocked and never returns. This is problematic because the request holds lock on resources.
I propose to add a timeout of 5 minutes by default. The goal is not to limit the time to convert but to have the server going back to normal after a while.
