Since #7553 (closed), the rec_name of invoice is better so we could use it as reference for FEC.
See http://www.tryton.org/~irclog/fr/2018-09-22.log.html#t11:09
I don't know much about FEC, but I understand that it is some kind of official document. For me, it is a bad idea to use a rec_name for such a document because rec_name's tend to be adapted to the needs of each company, according to what its users want to see in the UI. That is not necessarily what we want to be exported to this kind of file.
They will have to, but I don't think it is easy to find the consequences of
such a change. It's probably hard for the developer to predict that
changing a rec_name, which usually only affects the UI for the user is
going to affect a file that is sent to somebody outside of the organization.

Any modification has consequences and should be done carefully. This is not a reason to not improve and simplify Tryton. record name exists to name the record, here we need to name the reference so it fit exactly into purpose.
I see no problem to show record name to the outside world.
