currently when a developer wants to hide a part of a form his only way of doing it is by creating a Boolean function field with an empty setter and use it in the states of the fields he wants to hide. While it works, this is still a hack and the record is considered changed even if the field does nothing.

We propose that the group tag could be used to do that. The developer wishing to use this functionality would have to add an attribute (currently I use 'expand'). If this attribute is present the content of the group would be inserted into a GtkExpander[1], the value of the attribute (1 or 0) would be used to define the starting state of the group.
