For VAT purpouses it is until 31th Desember 2020. At least this is what the Spanish Tax Authority requires to us.

But is not the case as there are several Europen Members that have their own currency: Denmark, Norway, Romania, Sweden, etc.

I've updated the review to include the fix also for EC Sales List.

UK is no more in Europe.
But it seems that they declare the currency in the header of the file.

I re-checked the document in issue6734. And indeed it seems that it must
be always in euro. I guess that as it is based on sale, we considered
that all sales inside the EU will be done in euro (or in the national
currency).

Indeed the data is the same but they are using the Euro as currency. I've see that in the UK they are also reporting the amounts with GBP:

Are you sure that all the EC Sales List should be provided in the currency of the operation?

I confirm this also affects the also the EC VAT List, as described in page 15 of the normative [1]. All the amounts should be expressed in Euros.

If this is the case, I think there are no more point to reuse account.ec_sales_list. This is to complete different report (why is Spain not collecting the same data as other countries?).

Here is review314211002 which implements it by reading the amount from the account.tax.line model which is always in company currency.

I think we can asume that the company currency will be always Euro for all the spanish company as this is the main currency used on the country.

As account.tax.line model is also used for tax reporting and the ECOperation list is the detail of all the intracomunitary operations included in tax report. Using the same source ensures that the amount reported in one report matches with the amounts used on the other report.

This makes me think that we should also the company currency for ES VAT List report. It's not common but there may be the case that a company purchases something from a local vat in a diferent currency (This is the case for Amazon Web Services for example). I will check the normative and update the report if required.

As explained on page 14 of the normative [1] the amounts should be in euro. In spanish: "Los importes deben consignarse en EUROS."
