price_list and promotion
Note: if I should be posting this in the tryton group, not here, let me know.
I know: Tryton is not an ERP, but a framework. Nonetheless, I think that this could be something to think about.
Summary:
I just discovered the module sale_promotion. I see that I can set rules depending on the quantity which is sold. However, I think that the final price needs to reflect (or at least allow) a list price as well.
Scenario:
1. Create a <product> with some unit of measure
2. Create a <price list>
2.a. Assign the formula: unit_price*0.9
2.b. Assign the quantity: 10
2.c. Assign the unit to apply the price list.
2.d. Assign the <product>
3. Create a promotion for the <product>
3.a. Assign the formula: unit_price*0.5
3.b. Assign the <product>
3.c. Assign the <price list>
4. Create a sale with <price list> and a line with <product>
5. Turn the sale into a quote.
Outcome:
I can think of three logical outcomes for this:
A) The final price of <product> is affected by <price list> but not the promotion
B) The final price of <product> is not affected by <price list> but the promotion
C) The final price of <product> is affected by both <price list> and the promotion
Since I have assigned a price list and a promotion, I would expect (C), but right now I only get (B). I don't know what is actually supposed to happen, so I don't want to set this as a bug. Also, I installed zikzakmedia POS module, and I don't know if it is interfering with the desired behaviour. Instead, I post it because it could be a feature request, a wish or simply a discussion. I just hope that it is useful.
