For me, there is nothing to do because the gtk.Calendar handles it automatically.
The code is there [1] using nl_langinfo and if the OS doesn't provide such functionality, GTK+ fallback to a translation hack.
I tested for en_US and fr_FR on Linux with nl_langinfo and on OpenBSD without nl_langinfo and it works as expected.

This is information should come from the locale of the user (not from the 
company setting).
Unfortunately there is still an open bug in python to make available such 
information: http://bugs.python.org/issue17659

It would be nice if the date widget could start the week on Monday in stead of 
Sunday. Maybe this can be a global/company setting
